'Free Guy': Ryan Reynolds and the rest of the cast talk about the new movie

The trailer for 'Free Guy' surprised the audience that attended the Comic-Con in New York, which began this Thursday and will last until Sunday. Unfortunately, the rest we still can't see the images. In addition to the trailer's revelation at the annual New York event, Ryan Reynolds released a supporting video and the first poster of the highly anticipated film. The premise for the film is simple: "an NPC (character who does not play) in a video game that achieves sensitivity." In addition to Reynolds, the panel included the film's director, Shawn Levy, and actors Lil Rel Howery, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Joe Keery, Jodie Comer and Taika Waititi entered via videoconference.

Levy had this to say: "On a very literal level, 'Free Guy' is about Guy, the cashier of a bank. In his work he is robbed an average of 17 times in one day. As he realizes that this is not very normal, he will proceed to discover why. Ryan and I have talked about Free Guy as a superhero origin story without the cape, stockings and intellectual property. If you were living in a video game and could dominate the system, your powers would be unlimited. " .

For his part, the actor compared 'Free Guy' with 'Welcome, Mister Chance' of 1979, with Peter Sellers and Shirley MacLaine, one of his favorite films. "I haven't been so completely immersed, engaged and focused on something since 'Deadpool,'" Reynolds said. The actor continued talking about how the film works so well with our current events in the world, where it seems that everyone is a background character. Levy added: "It is the journey of the innocents in a deeply cynical world."
